Unlocked wants you (to write about sex). Ella Dawson ’14 writes:
Unlocked Magazine, Wesleyan’s art and sexuality magazine, is accepting submissions for its spring issue! Interested in writing about sex? Send your erotic fiction, nonfiction, poetry, essays, or articles to unlockedmag(at)gmail(dot)com. Submissions are due by April 20th!
From the desk of Charlie Alderman ‘11:
Historical Narratives, the journal of undergrad writing vaguely related to history, wants your stuff: 5-30 page papers you’ve written here that, broadly defined, relate to history.
Again, we want to publish what you write for class. It doesn’t need to be perfect. It can be written for Music or Af-Am or Dance or Whatever Studies. It will be read anonymously. It might end up in a sleek book. It will be cited. Widely.
deadline = oct 29th
send submissions to: hnarratives(at)gmail(dot)com
send questions to: calderman(at)wesleyan(dot)edu
This is a reminder that the deadline for submissions to Ostranenie 5.1–the fall black-and-white issue–is TODAY. We are accepting anything capable of being represented in two-dimensions (poetry, prose, prose-poetry, artwork, criticism, collage, photography…), so send your work to SAMIZDATPRESS@GMAIL.COM (or drop it off in WesBox 90553 if you prefer).
From Charlie Alderman ’11:
Go on, admit it: you’re really curious as to what other people’s papers are like.
Find out at: first meeting of /historical narratives,/ the journal of undergraduate writing (at least tangentially) related to history
No matter your grade or major, you can be on the editorial staff. That means you get to read and evaluate your peers’ work and choose what gets published.
