Noah Masur ’15 and his goof troop write in:

It’s finals week, which everyone knows means… it’s time for an improv show!*

Need a study break? Running out of points and afraid of going hungry? Looking to be sexually satisfied? Come see Desperate Measures to fulfill one of these desires. As Mother Teresa once said: bring your friends and your baddest behavior.

Laughter Yoga Playshop

laughter

A message from Jon Lubeck ’14:

Come to a laughter yoga “playshop” on Monday the 9th at 6PM in the Buddhist House Meditation room. The “playshop” will be led by local laughter yoga teacher Mylene Poitras. It should last only about an hour.

Laughter yoga is a practice that combines laughter exercises with controlled breathing and calming movements. It produces endorphins that counter-stress and help bring about relaxation. It’s fun and should be a great way to help us forget about final stress.

Date: Today, December 9, 2013
Time: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Place: Buddhist House Meditation room
Cost: FREEZ

Broomball!

The Commissioners Ty Kelly ’14 and Gareth Novak-Miller ’14 have a message for you:

Do you like fun? If so, then be sure not to miss what promises to be the best thing you’ll do all week- BROOMBALL!

Think of it as a mix between soccer and hockey played on ice. Just bring an extra pair of shoes to the rink and you are set. Come for as little or as long as you’d like. You won’t regret it.

***Sense of balance or athletic talent not required and discouraged***

Date: TODAY, December 8, 2013
Time: 8:45 PM
Place: Freeman Ice Rink

We have new songs, as well as a new, Bufordian take on an old favorite (@TheEmmaBufordFanCluband/orMafia)!

Bring your friends and your moms and your lovers and a Nalgene full of something and hear what Quasi’s been working on all semester. We’d love to have ya.

Date: Thursday, November 14th

Procrastination Destination Du Jour: Cats… Lots of Them

Shout out to waynesworld for making this sick-ass cover photo.

Yes, readers, I know what you are thinking: “Hermes, you crazy bitch, there was already a post about cats from last year’s Procrastination Destination and you peeps at Wesleying had a post earlier today about cats. Fuck this. Cats are a societal construct anyway.”

Oh, but I’ve gone above and beyond, for I bring you MANY websites featuring MANY cats in today’s DOUBLE FEATURE about CATS. I told my kitten-/cat-obsessed friend at Northwestern that our blog was doing a double feature on cat websites and all she could say was, “You lucky sons of bitches.”

Read after the jump to see all of the adorable cat-ness (cat-ness, Katniss, GET IT?).

Quasimodal Final Concert

Julia Michaels ’12 is better at Photoshop than I am:

We’re baaaaaaaaaaaack! We’ve been keepin’ ourselves on the DL because what we have planned for you is just. too. good. Mmmmmm.

After a super hectic semester with NO SNOW WTF and lots and lots of FUN, Quasimodal (Wes’s oldest co-ed a cappella group) is BACK and BETTER THAN EVER. And what better way to celebrate a spring revival than a SPRING CONCERT in da historic Memorial Chapel!?!?!?!??!??!?!

Take a quick 1-hour study break on Monday night (obvi you won’t bring your laptops, so just think of it as a much more productive, cultured version of SelfControl) and come join us for an evening of merriment and mirth. We will be singing, dancing, rapping, clapping, stomping, introducing one of our newbies (!) and saying goodbye to two absolutely incredible seniors.

Date: Monday, May 14
Time: 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Place: Memorial Chapel
Cost: Free
