“Lady Gaga Super Bowl Halftime Show to Feature Hundreds of Drones in Aerial Light Display”
bill belichick ’75’s team is in the super bowl again
Tonight, more people will watch the same thing on TV than voted in the presidential election. Today, 278 million avocados, 1.3 billion chicken wings, 325 million gallons of beer, and 11.2 million pounds of potato chips will be consumed. The New England Patriots, coached by Bill Belichick ’75, will be squaring off against the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI. Lady Gaga will be performing at halftime, hopefully in a dress made out of sleeve scraps from Belichick’s hoodies-from-hell.
While around 4 miles of hot dogs will be produced at Houston’s NRG stadium, Wesleyan students will be debating whether or not a hot dog is a sandwich. If you won’t be watching, we’ve got you covered. We haven’t done a liveblog since the vice presidential debate and it’s time we do that again.
Here we go:
Ain’t no Super Bowl/Game Day/Football/Sports party like a Wesleying… party! This year, featuring Bruno Mars and two states where weed is legal!
Go past the jump for our liveblog-de-jour:
From Ari Ebstein ’16:
Tonight Middletown Potluck will be delivering fresh nachos and hummus platters (homemade! the both!) to superbowl parties across campus. Nachos come will FR3$H salsa and the hummus platter with homemade pita chips and baby c@rrotz.
The cause? We’re trying to raise money to buy lockers for Middletown’s homeless population. Homeless people carry all their stuff around on them 24/7 because they have no where to keep it, and as a result of this insecurity, their stuff is frequently stolen or thrown away — all that they own.
The event is pay what you can with a suggested donation of $15. Each plate serves five people.
E-mail middletownpotlock[at]gmail[dot]com with your order, or text it to 206-697-7208
Time: 5-9:30 p.m.
Place: Delivered to YOU
Cost: Suggested donation: $15
Argh classmateys, how are y’all doin’ today, hur? I hope you’re ready for today’s big game (if you know what I mean), because we’re liveblogging it. Not sure if you want to read the opinions of a bunch of
clueless casual football observers expert sports analysts? Then maybe you’ll want to read our opinions on the nation’s premier puppy event instead.
Whatever your tastes may be, let the writers at Wesleying fill your evening with smiles, witty banter, and horrifying Beyoncé/Michael Roth hybrids. Liveblog entries will appear after the jump.
