Seeking Performers for ‘Chill’ O-Week Event

chill_alternative

Alex “Vitruvian Man” Sakhno ’15 is hosting a ‘chill’ alternative to Bend it at Beckham. If you’re some kind of a performer, like a poet, comedian, musician, etc. and also would like to move in early, this is your opportunity! From the Sakh-man:

Looking for a chill alternative to the dance party scene? Drink a cup of coffee, listen to performers, intellectualize, philosophize, problematize…  or just relax.

Potential performers should contact asakhno[at]wesleyan[dot]edu. Performers would get to move in on 8/30; the event will be that night from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Chi Psi Tiki Dance Party in WestCo Cafe

From Alex “Vitruvian Man” Sakhno ’15:

The newly revived Alpha Alpha chapter of Chi Psi at Wesleyan would like to hold a party for the general campus as a way to bring more excitement to Friday nights at Wesleyan. It will be a simple dance-oriented party with a Hawaiian-themed feel. There will be some popular music that everyone can move around and dance and socialize to. It will be a way for our newly established fraternity to gain some attention on campus while meeting new people and having a good time, as well as giving back to the campus community. Come get out of the cold weather and take a trip with Chi Psi to the tropical islands of Hawaii, as we host our first rave of the semester. Wear something beachy. It’s a tiki party, and we’re all getting lei’d!

Date: Friday, November 30
Time:
10 p.m. – 2 a.m.
Place: WestCo Cafe
Cost: getting lei’d
