From Aimee Wilkerson ’17:
Do you want to learn more about social justice issues on campus? Do you want to learn how to talk about these issues and create safe
spaces for others to do the same? Do you want to receive ONE FULL CREDIT for doing this? Well then join WesDEF’s next semester to help create this environment on campus!
There will be a student forum next spring, led by Aimée Wilkerson and Keyonne Session to train future WesDEFs. It will meet once and week for the first half of the semester, and you will receive A CREDIT! To find out more about this forum, and how you can be a part of it, please email (or FB message) one of the student forum leaders: Aimée Jones Wilkerson at awilkerson[at]wesleyan[dot]edu or Keyonne Session at ksession[at]wesleyan[dot]edu.
WesDEF, or Wesleyan Diversity Education Facilitators, is an awesome student group dedicated to creating dialogue and action on campus about issues of social justice to empower individuals to effect positive changes in their communities. Anyone can join the awesome WesDEF community – BUT you’ll need some training first!
To apply to become a WesDEF please fill out the application here. Applications are due by Sunday, JANUARY 11th at NOON.
