From the WesDEFs:
What we do: We are community facilitators and educators who lead facilitations on social justice issues in selected first-year residential halls and and in the greater campus community.
The purpose of WesDEF workshops is not to provide answers but to elicit questions and to provide participants with the knowledge and tools to aid personal exploration and further social awareness. The WesDEF program aims to act as a resource for the Wesleyan community, developing space for social justice work, dialogue, and understanding.
LEARN MORE AT AN INFO SESSION!

From Veronika Vackova ’12:
WesDEF (Wesleyan Diversity Education Facilitators) are back! We are a student group that facilitates discussion about diversity on our campus, in Middletown community and beyond. If you are a student group, a program house or a student thinking of holding a discussion and would like to collaborate or would want trained student facilitators to be there just in case, let us know! Some examples of the topics we concentrate on are: racism, classism, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, ableism, ageism and others. Contact us for more information: Veronika Vackova ’12, vvackova(at)wesleyan(dot)edu.
WesDEF, the Wesleyan Diversity Education Facilitation Program, has extended its application deadline to Sunday, Dec. 15 at 5:00 PM!
We are a student group that leads anti-oppression conversation workshops in first-year dorms. WesDEFs train throughout the year for their roles as community facilitators and educators. We are looking for facilitators to join the group for the spring semester.
For an application or for more info, email thewesdefs@gmail.
