Something’s brewing in the CFA Hall tomorrow, reports Avery “Witch Haus” Trufelman ’13:

Awwww maaaaan! The WESU speaker series is ending! But last but not least comes Lynn Levy ’05, a producer of Radiolab (OMGZ), coming to talk about her work in radio, television, and film. Levy will be live in conversation with Professor Jacob Bricca, who advised her senior thesis film, this Thursday at 8pm in the CFA Hall. Free and open to the public. RADIOLAB. Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me! and Car Talk creator and producer Doug Berman ’84 is coming to Wesleyan this Thursday for the third installment of the WESU Lecture Series!

Berman is a Peabody Award winner, whose career has spanned not just the world of public radio but also into newspapers, with Car Talk’s syndicated column, and beyond.

What’s he going to talk about? How to produce a show. How to make it big. Whatever you want him to talk about.

This event is FREE and open to the public. Join us at the CFA Hall for a casual Q+A with one of radio’s heaviest hitters!

Hear ye, hear ye! Virgil B/G “the / is silent” Taylor ’15 brings news of the WESU Lecture Series’ second installment, happening next Thursday:

Ilya Marritz ’99 is a business reporter for WNYC and has worked as a producer for the Brian Lehrer Show and for NPR’s All Things Considered. He has contributed stories to NPR’s Morning Edition and reported with radio stations in Berlin and Prague about everything from employment and economic development to energy and the environment. On Thursday, October 11th, Ilya will come to the CFA Hall to talk about his experience working in public radio, from 8:00 to 9:30 pm. Join us!
