The WINTER DANCE CONCERT on December 11th and 12th on the CFA stage needs movers!

Who: YOU! (no dance experience necessary)
When: Wednesday, September 16th

Come to one session:
5:00 to 6:00pm OR 6:30 to 7:30pm
Where: Schonberg Dance Studio, 247 Pine St.
Dress in clothing appropriate for movement!

.25 Advanced Dance Practice Credit is available for this commitment.

Winter Dance Auditions

Do you like to dance? Never danced a day in your life? Want to dance at Wesleyan? AND get credit for it?

If you answered yes to ANY of those questions then come audition for WINTER DANCE! Winter Dance is a dance concert that closes the semester with pieces choreographed by Junior and Senior Dance majors. This year’s concert will feature new works by Eury German, Lakisha Gonsalves, Sarah Greizer, Chloe Jones, Ari Kaufman, Clara Pinsky, Djiby Sall and Nora Thompson!

We all want you to come audition and be in our pieces! So come out to one of the two audition times on Wednesday September 10 in Schonberg Dance Studio on Pine Street.

Come see this year’s Winter Dance Concert! This concert features new choreographic works by advanced dance majors enrolled in Choreography Workshop. The choreographers have been working with student dancers all semester and are eager to share exciting new pieces on stage. This year’s concert will be huge, with eight pieces and over 70 dancers total!

Audition for Winter Dance

Elisa Waugh ’13 wants you to audition for the Winter Dance:

Auditions will be held at the Schonberg Dance Studio at 247 Pine. No experience needed, but come dressed in comfortable clothing and ready to move! All dancers in the Winter Dance show will get to dance on the fabulous CFA stage and receive .25 credit.

Kinesthesia, the 2010 Wesleyan Winter Dance Concert, showcases new works by eight Junior and Senior Dance majors. Please join us!

Featuring new works by: Naadu Bentsi-Enchill ’12, Claire Feldmen-Reich ’12, James Gardella ’12, Hsiao-Tung Huang ’12, Nina Simone Moore ’11, Nik Owens ’12, Antonio Reis ’12, and Lena Solow ’12.

Exploding onto the dance scene is Unstuck World, the choreographic premiere of new works from senior and junior Wesleyan University dance majors. Over 70 students will come together on Wesleyan University’s CFA stage to explore new frontiers in an evening of original dance works.

The Winter Dance concert will feature new works by Molly Birnbaum ’09, Jessica Brownfeld ’10, Kimberly Denson ’10, Aaron Freedman ’10, Yumin He ’09, Evelyn Israel ’10, Fon Sawitree Kongmuang ’09, Julie Lam ’10, and Indee Mitchell ’10.

Winter Dance concert tomorrow and Saturday

Janani Lee ’09 says that the Winter Dance concert will be happening Friday and Saturday. “It’s emerging. It’s going to be big,” Janani says. And I believe it!
